This compact ground-level deck was built to create a clean, practical transition between the home and yard. The project required careful layout, low-profile framing and protection against moisture at the joists and cut ends.

Composite Deck Rebuild & Structural Repair
Airdrie, Alberta
Highland Home Improvements worked alongside Norsemen Developments on this Airdrie deck project. What began as a straightforward redeck changed once the existing structure was opened and extensive deterioration was found.
The work expanded into structural reframing, correction of exterior details, support around the existing stone facing, waterproofing improvements and the construction of new composite decking and stairs.
Highland Home Improvements and Norsemen Developments are separate family-run businesses that work together on selected Airdrie and Rocky View projects when the scope benefits from additional carpentry, construction or multi-trade support.
